Virtual Town Hall: Employment Development Department

On Wednesday, June 17 from 12 noon to 1 p.m., I will be hosting a Virtual Town Hall, with the Central Valley representative from the Employment Development Department (EDD) to provide new information about how the department is working hard to handle the influx of unemployment insurance and benefit claims. Many people have had problems accessing information about their claims, or navigating EDD's processes during the pandemic. I want to remind you how you can contact the EDD.
You can call the EDD at 1-833-978-2511 seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., if you need technical help to access UI OnlineSM, need help to receive an EDD Customer Account Number, and other general unemployment insurance questions. If you need help specifically with a claim or payment information, call the EDD at 1-800-300-5616. You can also visit the EDD's website about COVID-19 related help HERE.
