Sen. Caballero Wishes You a Happy Thanksgiving
Hello Neighbor,
As we gather to give thanks this Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to you — the people of California’s 14th Senate District — for your trust, engagement, and partnership. Your voices, stories, and aspirations are what drive my work every day and I am truly humbled to represent you.
This season, I’m especially thankful for the progress we’ve made together through our 2025 Legislative Package: Building a Stronger California. The Governor has signed into law each of these measures, reflecting a shared vision for a more prosperous, resilient, and equitable Golden State.
Here are just a few wins from our package that I hope resonate with you:
- Modernizing our water systems with SB 72 – California Water Plan, which lays the foundation for long term drought resilience and climate readiness.
- Investing in clean, bold energy innovation through SB 80 – Fusion Energy Research Initiative, tapping public-private partnerships to develop safe, limitless energy for the future.
- Improving maternal health, by expanding midwifery education and workforce pathways via SB 520, so we can support every parent and baby.
- Strengthening support for foster youth, with SB 624 (FOSTER Act), helping young people access benefits like the California Earned Income Tax Credit and building financial stability.
- Ensuring fair justice through SB 734 – Peace Officer Due Process, which protects constitutional rights by guaranteeing due process for officers under scrutiny.
- Accelerating housing development, via SB 808 – Expedited Judicial Review of the Housing Accountability Act, to help streamline approvals and build more housing.
These accomplishments are not just legislative victories — they reflect our shared values: dignity, opportunity, sustainability, and safety. Each law we passed was crafted with you in mind.
As you sit down with loved ones this Thanksgiving—whether in Merced, Fresno, Madera, or anywhere in our district—I hope you feel the collective impact of what we’ve achieved together. You’ve played a vital role in shaping a future where our communities are stronger, healthier, and more resilient.
Thank you for allowing me to serve you. I am committed to keeping our work grounded in the needs and dreams of our neighborhoods, and I look forward to building more together in the months to come.
Wishing you a warm, peaceful, and joy-filled Thanksgiving.
In gratitude and service,
Senator Anna M. Caballero
