Senate District 12 Friends and Families,

Friends and Family of Senate District 12,

Senate District 12 is opening for business! The State has created a transparent process that each county must work through, in order to open economically, and still slow the spread of COVID-19. We can, must, and will successfully do both!

Friends and Families of Senate District 12,

Today, I write about the lack of vital broadband infrastructure throughout California that risks our future as the innovation state, and threatens to leave behind rural communities.

Senate District 12 Friends and Families,

This week, I challenge everyone in Senate District 12 to fill out the 2020 Census.

What is the Census?

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year because I get to spend my days traveling across the 12th Senate District meeting with and constituents and friends.  I take this time to visit with local elected officials, community groups, businesses, students, and organizations across the Central and Salinas Valleys, and San Benito County.  All of these visits remind me of the important work we are doing for the residents of the 12th Senate District and the important work that remains.

Welcome to my first newsletter as your Senator! I am so honored to serve you. The legislature began our work on January 7th, and I held a community swearing in on January 25th.  I met with many of you, from all parts of the district. We talked about water, the environment, agriculture, education, veterans, housing, and community safety. I look forward to meeting many more of you, and invite you to call my district office if you have an issue I can help you with. We are here!
