Spring has sprung and I love the beautiful trees and flowers in bloom; green grass and other signs that the long winter months have ended.

December is a magical time of year. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the Solstice, all of the above or nothing at all—it is my sincere hope that you slow down, are in fellowship with family and friends and reflect on the accomplishments of this year.

Here’s wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving holiday. I hope that it is possible for you to spend time with family and friends, I certainly will. We have a lot to be thankful for—I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as your Senator and to work alongside each of you to build communities, we can be proud to call home.

As a reminder, my offices will be closed Wednesday November 22 at noon and will re-open Monday November 27 at 9:00 AM.




At the conclusion of this year’s legislative cycle, I am happy to report that the Legislative Bill Package for Senate District 14 heads to the Governor’s desk for his signature.




I am excited to share a great opportunity for local students. The 2023-2024 Coke Scholars Application is now open. The Coke Scholars Foundation gives $20,000 college scholarships to 150 students nationwide each year.




Summer is here, and in Senate District 14, that means triple-digit weather is likely in the forecast. Multiple days and nights of hot weather can be dangerous for pets and people over the age of 65.
