SACRAMENTO: Senator Anna M. Caballero (D-Merced) introduced SB 1326 which would allow the import and export, of legally produced cannabis and cannabis products, to other states and authorize the Governor to enter into trade agreements with other U.S. states. SB 1326 requires the trade agreement to include public health, safety, and labeling standards, a system to regulate and track cannabis items, collection of applicable taxes, and require any out of state cannabis items delivered to California be tested, packaged, and labeled in compliance with California state law.
SACRAMENTO: Senator Anna M. Caballero (D-Merced) and Senator Nancy Skinner (D-Berkeley) introduced SB 1142, which seeks to increase resources for individuals who can become pregnant who seek abortion services in California.

SACRAMENTO: Senator Anna M. Caballero (D-Merced) successfully secured $10 million to fund essential infrastructure needs in the rural, agricultural west side areas of Fresno County. She will spend the day in each city receiving funding to tour the future facility sites.

Caballero (D-Salinas) is pleased to announce that the first of her bills to pass through the legislature and to be signed by Governor Newsom, is SB 347 The California Community and Neighborhood Tree Fund. SB 347 creates a voluntary contribution on the state income tax to help provide a consistent source of funding to CalFire’s Urban and Community Forestry program, with a special focus on small, urbanized communities that struggle with the long-term care and maintenance costs of tree planting programs.
