The 2024 Young Legislators Program provides an introduction to the workings of government and to build a strong foundation for our youth to get involved in the leadership of their community.







Spring has sprung and I love the beautiful trees and flowers in bloom; green grass and other signs that the long winter months have ended.




March is Women’s History Month and to celebrate, I invite you to nominate a woman who inspires our community with their extraordinary achievements, service and contributions. You may nominate a Woman Who Inspires by completing the form here.




December is a magical time of year. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the Solstice, all of the above or nothing at all—it is my sincere hope that you slow down, are in fellowship with family and friends and reflect on the accomplishments of this year.

Here’s wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving holiday. I hope that it is possible for you to spend time with family and friends, I certainly will. We have a lot to be thankful for—I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as your Senator and to work alongside each of you to build communities, we can be proud to call home.

As a reminder, my offices will be closed Wednesday November 22 at noon and will re-open Monday November 27 at 9:00 AM.




At the conclusion of this year’s legislative cycle, I am happy to report that the Legislative Bill Package for Senate District 14 heads to the Governor’s desk for his signature.
